William Shakespeare was born on April 23, 1564, in Stratford-upon-Avon, England .William Shakespeare was baptized there on the 26th April ,1564.As it was customary to baptize children on the third day after birth,The 23rd of April is generally accepted as the Shakespeare's birthday and May 3 according to your present calendar.

William was the third child of John Shakespeare, a leather merchant, and Mary Arden, a local landed heiress. William had two older sisters, Joan and Judith, and three younger brothers, Gilbert, Richard and Edmund. Before William's birth, his father became a successful merchant and held official positions as alderman and bailiff, an office resembling a mayor.

We know little of Shakespeare's education,except that for a few years he probably attended the endowed grammar school at Stratford. Where he learned "Small Latin and Less Greek". William Shakespeare's wife and Kids

On November 28, 1582  At the age of 18 Shakespeare was married to 26 years old Anne Hathaway,the daughter of a peasant family of Shottery. With whom he had 3 children Susanna and twins Hamnet and Judith.About the years 1587 Shakespeare left his family and went to London and joined himself to Burbage's company of players.

Shakespeare’s Writing Style

Early plays of William Shakespeare were written in the conventional style, with elaborate metaphors and rhetorical phrases that didn't always align naturally with the story's plot or characters.Shakespeare was very innovative in  adapting the traditional style to his own purposes and creating a free flow of word .Shakespeare primarily used a metrical pattern consisting of lines of unrhymed iambic pentameter, or blank verse, to compose his plays.

Moreover Shakespeare also introduced prose comedies like Henry IV part 1&2 ,Henry V  in the late 1590's .The famous romantic tragedy of sexually charged adolescence, love, and death Romeo and Juliet and Julius Caesar of 1590's were the greatest two tragedy of this period .

After this two greatest tragedy of late 16th century Shakespeare wrote the So called problem plays in the early 17th century. Problem plays like, Troilus and cressida, Measure for Measure . Critics believed that many of the Shakespeare greatest tragedy represent the peak of his art.The character in The Tragedy Hamlet has been discussed more than any other Shakespearen Character.Other major  tragedy of Shakespeare are Othello,Macbeth ,King Lear ,Anthony Cleopatra .

William Shakespeare Short Biography and Poems

It is asserted that If Shakespeare had written no plays ,his poem would have given a commanding place in the history of English literature. Shakespeare's two long poems Venus and Adonis and The rape of lucrece contains much poetic fancy and were very extremely popular in the Shakespeare's day ,but if we compare this poem with his great dramatic works then these poems are of minor importance.His third narrative poem was A Lovers Complaint.

In the year 1609 or we can say in the beginning of the 17th century Shakespeare's Sonnets 154 in numbers were published together.Sonnets were the last of Shakespeare's Non-Dramatic works .Critics praise the Sonnets as a profound meditation on the nature of love, sexual passion, procreation, death, and time.William Wordsworth believed that with the sonnets  "Shakespeare Unlocked his heart".

William Shakespeare's Influence

Shakespeare holds the foremost place in the world's Literature and  The successor of the Shakespeare were very much influenced by his work and his style , Shakespeare expanded the dramatic potential of characterision, language ,plot and genre.Poets like Tennyson and Colleridge were also heavily influenced by the Shakespeare.morever he also influenced the latter novelist like Charles Dickens, Thomas hardy , William Faulkner .Overall in a word we can say Shakespeare is the universal poet .
Goethe expresses " I do not remember that any book or person or event in my life ever made me so great an impression upon me as the plays of Shakespeare" His influence upon our own language and thought is beyond calculation.

William Shakespeare's Death

Long journey of the Shakespeare came to an end on the probable anniversary of his birth ,April 23 , 1616 at the age of 52. Their is no source which explains how or why he died but it is only known that ,he died within a month of signing his will.In which he describes himself as being in "Perfect Health". Shakespeare was buried in the chancel of the holy Trinity church two days after his death
